Real Betis are enjoying one of their better seasons of recent times in Spain’s Primera Liga, with the Seville club on course for European qualification in what has been a unique 2020-2021 season.

It is off the pitch however, and when it comes to the issue of sustainability, that they are truly leading the way with pioneering initiatives to support green issues and climate action; none more so than their program ‘Forever Green’, launched at the end of 2020.

‘Forever Green’ is a commitment founded by Real Betis with the purpose of creating a conscience among the population about the current need of fighting against climate change.

In conjunction with the Spanish government, the United Nations’ Global Climate Action Team and also Climate Pledge Amazon, the aim of ‘Forever Green’ is to be an open platform for companies and institutions that want to get involved and show the world how they are going to contribute to the future of our planet and that also want to become a model to follow for football fans. Companies that sign up will have the chance to collaborate on the projects programmed by Real Betis to reduce carbon emissions and create a bigger social conscience in order to address the climate crisis.

Every company has a great responsibility to look after the planet and not compromise future generations, and ‘Forever Green’ promotes different actions for it.

‘Forever Green’ is developed in five theme areas:

1.- Climate change

2.- Recycling

3.- Mobility

4.- Nature

5.- Sustainability
